Young people across Scotland have received their exam results today and initial figures show that º£½ÇÉçÇø and Bute’s results are higher than the national average in National 5 A-D with Higher results in line with the national average.

The council is urging residents of º£½ÇÉçÇø and Bute to participate in an online survey to help understand the area’s housing needs and neighbourhoods.

The council’s Environmental Health team is working with colleagues in licensing and trading standards to track down, and remove, counterfeit bottles of Glen’s vodka which may have found their way to the local market.

With º£½ÇÉçÇø and Bute facing a £58 million budget gap for its council services in the next five years, the Council has agreed an approach for long term budget planning.

º£½ÇÉçÇø and Bute Council is calling on residents and members of community groups to take part in a short survey that will help shape how the Council works to support community projects in the area.

Restoration work is scheduled to start next week on Tigh Mhicleoid in Colchester Square, Lochgilphead – the last priority building to benefit from the town’s Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS).
