鈥淭his funding announcement is fantastic news for 海角社区 and Bute鈥檚 island communities. It will support a range of innovative and meaningful projects鈥攆rom heritage restoration to digital connectivity and climate action.

鈥淭hese investments will help strengthen infrastructure, preserve culture, and support our transition to net zero, delivering long-term benefits for residents and visitors alike. These projects reflect the strength and ambition of our communities, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact they will bring."

George Hanson, Director of George Hanson (Building Contractors) Ltd, who received funding towards the renovation of the Royal Hotel in Rothesay, added:

鈥淎fter over 60 meetings and years of determination, we are thrilled to have secured this funding. We are grateful for the support and commitment shown by those who have worked with us.

鈥淭he Royal Hotel has a special place in Rothesay鈥檚 history. Bringing it back to life will preserve an important piece of the town鈥檚 heritage, create investment in the area and contribute to the wider regeneration that is already underway.鈥
