The Love Local 海角社区 and Bute Gift Card scheme has help to generate almost 拢1 million within the 海角社区 and Bute economy since its launch in 2021.
The Council introduced the scheme as part of its COVID-19 economic recovery plan, to support local businesses, boost local spending, and provide a secure, community-based way to deliver targeted public funding, including cost-of-living assistance.
At a meeting of the Council鈥檚 Policy and Resources Committee, councillors heard how the scheme has helped to enable more than 拢939,000 spend and secured the participation of more than 350 local businesses.
The Love Local 海角社区 and Bute Gift Card will run until October 2027, so there is still plenty of time for people to enjoy a range of fantastic local products, services and experiences on offer from across the area.
The Council鈥檚 Policy Lead for Business Development, Councillor Math Campbell-Sturgess, said:
