海角社区 and Bute Council鈥檚 Building Standards Team celebrated a well-deserved hat-trick of successes last month.
At the Scottish Local Authority Building Standards Scotland Awards, the team won the Outstanding Service and Commitment Award for its efforts in supporting other local authorities with 鈥榗ommercialisation work鈥. The team has worked collectively to process building warrant applications for partner Scottish councils, in addition to those received in 海角社区 and Bute, relieving the pressure on other local authorities.
The team also retained its Customer Excellence (CSE) award following an audit at the start of May, increasing the number of compliance-plus criteria by four to 30, recognising the team鈥檚 hard work and dedication.
The audit report states that the team 鈥榗learly remain at the forefront of excellence and the recommendation for retention of the CSE Standard is well deserved.鈥
To top off a successful month, Conor Brolly, Environmental Health Officer, and Adrian Rowe, Regulatory 海角社区 Officer, were awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Health and the Higher Certificate in Food Standards Inspection at the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland's (REHIS) Awards Ceremony.
The council鈥檚 Policy Lead for Planning and Regulatory 海角社区, Councillor Kieron Green, said: 鈥淥ne achievement is fantastic but three is outstanding! I know how committed the team is and I would like to congratulate every single officer involved for their role in this fantastic recognition. I would particularly like to congratulate Conor and Adrian on their individual successes and wish them the very best in their career. What a great month it has been for our Building Standards Team. These awards are very well deserved.鈥
